The Effective TA
Individually, then in small groups, describe the qualities of an effective TA; report to plenary with leader recording responses; show Murray's data on effective teaching
What is that TAs do to demonstrate these qualities? Can you think of a critical incident of good or bad teaching that shows a particular example of good or poor teaching?
Teaching Aspirations and Concerns
Have individuals, then small groups, identify teaching aspirations and concerns, then attempt to offer solutions.
Common Problems
Using one or two video vignettes, have TAs identify the problem and offer solutions
