Forums
are a feature that allows users to participate in discussions
where the articles and responses are threaded; i.e. a hierarchy of articles is
formed according to which articles are responses to which. Users can post and
reply to articles in the form of questions, answers, remarks, or hints.
The way a discussion forum works can be seen in Figure 80. When a new article
is added, it is inserted into the first level of the hierarchy of the
discussion forum (Article A). Replies to Article A appear in the hierarchy
level below Article A. Replies to those replies appear in the next lower
hierarchical level.
