2.4 Document Classes
OVERVIEW
Document
Classes
are a new and powerful feature that allows programmers to create object types
that are tailored to fit to the application of the server. Users in turn
instantiate these objects as they need them. Information on how to declare
document classes is available in the Hyperwave Programmer's Guide.
With Document Classes, it is possible for users to have particular document
types defined in detail for them. These document types can be given certain
characteristics, methods that are associated with them, and can appear on the
interface in a certain way. All document classes declared for a given server
will appear on the Publish menu, where users can upload them to the server,
without having to complete any complicated specifications.
